There’s a wave of positive momentum building in the creative industry 🌊✨
Malaysia just revealed the 13th Malaysia Plan (2026–2030), placing strong emphasis on growing the creative economy—with “animation” highlighted as a key focus.
Korea is investing USD 1 billion over the next 5 years to boost its creative sector.
China is actively supporting the game industry, and local IPs like Nezha are achieving massive box office success.
🎬 Across China, Indonesia, and Malaysia, homegrown IPs are drawing strong box office results and audience support.
All signs point to this:
👉 The next wave of animation is rising in Asia.
👉 Audiences are beginning to truly love and support local content.
As someone who has been building original IPs and animation content over the years through Mirayi Animation, I can feel this shift happening. It's not just policy or funding—it’s the audience mindset that’s changing.
People are starting to believe in local stories, and that gives me so much hope.
We’re currently developing series like Red & Wolf, Neon Luna, and more—each rooted in Asian creativity with global appeal. It hasn’t been easy, but this revival reminds us: the effort is worth it.
What’s the latest good news from your region?
Let’s stay strong and keep building this future together 💪🎨
